51-59 Palmerston Crescent, South Melbourne
The approx. 795m2 site was previously known as one of Melbourne’s most venerable local pubs, 'The Palmerston Hotel'. Upon completion, the space will comprise of a new prominent apartment building which is set to feature 69 serviced apartments, a retail precinct, a basement car park and new architectural spaces.
Our Role
Geotech were engaged to design and construct hybrid hard-soft foundation and soldier piles on which a capping beam was constructed to inhibit displacement of the installed piles.
Geotech also completed a substantial anchoring package which included the design and construction of temporary anchors in addition to bulk & detailed excavation.
Dynamic load and sonic integrity testing was also completed.
